Messaging on app/Coco Cay?

Would anyone be able to tell me if the $2/day messaging feature on the RC app will work on Coco Cay?  Have extended family on this cruise and wondering if we would be able to communicate from Coco Cay to the ship.  Not planning to purchase Voom.

It should work as the Wi-Fi on the island is an extension of the ship’s Wi-Fi.

Thank you, Biker19.  That makes sense.  

 

Pinnacle, the last time I was on Royal, it *was* free.  So a bit of a surprise that you have to pay for that now.
