Sea sickness and pregnancy....what is safe? and what will work best?

I will be travelling on Adventure of the Seas in May. I will be almost 6 months pregnant at the time. We sailed this past September on Jewel out of Boston and i had to take Dramamine about 4 out of the 10 days of the cruise. I cannot take it this time because it is not an "approved" med.

 

I have heard Sea bands and ginger....

 

Where do you get Sea bands and how much do they cost?

 

Is ginger safe in pregnancy? Do you take it in pill form? Where do you get it? How much does it cost?

Your obstetrician would probably be the one to ask about any medications or supplements you should and should not take during your pregnancy. Congratulations!

You can get Sea Bands at any drug store. And I would agree that you should check with your doc about anything you ingest for seasickness, including natural remedies like ginger.
