Sailing on Sunday out of NYC on the Joy.   My reservation still shows let's get you upgraded when I go into it.   Are you notified if your bid is not accepted?

Yes. Bidding is closes 24 hours before departure. We got our declines about 8:00 pm the night before departure (21 hours before sailing).

If you go to the page where you bid, it will say “expired” or “pending”. If you’re lucky, one will say “processing “. Good luck!

It will show up on your credit card activity a lot of the time before they notify you.

That is not accurate any more, looks like they have updated their "advantage upgrade webpage" - this is how it looks if I follow the upgrade link:
