NEW on Celebrity Website regarding Covid Testing!!

Recommended Posts

This on yesterday's Celebrity Website under Healthy Protocols. Please someone currently onboard try to verify this.

"All crew and guests who are eligible to be vaccinated must be fully vaccinated with all initial doses administered at least 14 days prior to sailing. Effective April 15, 2022, this will include all U.S. guests 5 years of age and older for all sailings globally.

All guests 2 and over must present a negative Covid-19 test result in order to board a Celebrity Cruises ship."

The underlined part is new and does not state a timeframe in which a test must be procured. Typo? Missed information?

If you go on Celebrity's website under "Health at Sea" and look at the "Testing and Screening" box you'll see this "Testing and timing of requirements may vary by homeport country and port of embarkation." As you read further you'll see this "We continually evaluate and update country travel requirements to sail here. "  You can click on the "here" word and it'll take you to a page that is country or continent specific.  If you select your boarding country you'll see the requirements.  For example, if you select "U.S. Travel Requirements" you'll be taken to a page that states "All vaccinated guests are required to present a negative COVID-19 test result at the time of embarkation. This test may be taken as either as an Antigen or PCR test, conducted within two days of boarding the ship."

Likewise if you look at Italy or Spain (for example) it differentiates between "Up to Date" vaccinated, "Fully Vaccinated" and "Unvaccinated" with different timing requirements for each.

Not sure exactly where you are taking this from but I also see a reference that says to refer to country specific requirements for the timeline because it varies based on itinerary and in some cases even whether you are just fully vaccinated vs. up-to-date.
