Pompey Posted May 18, 2004 #1 Share Posted May 18, 2004 We are leaving on Sunday on the Elation and are wondering what excursion is recommended in Belize. We were planning to do the cave tubing with Extreme but have read reports of water levels being low and the water being cold. We are now having second thoughts (anyone out there with an update on the conditions?) Can anyone recommend any of the other excursions in particular the Horseshoe Reef Snorkel Combo at Caye Caulker. Guest Posted May 18, 2004 #3 Share Posted May 18, 2004 We were in Belize in April and did the cave tubing and the water was not cold, the water was aliitle low tho. We will be there again in July and want to do it again. It was alot of fun and I highly recommend it. In fact usually my husband doesn't enjoy water activities and he loved it and is the one that wants to do it again in July.
aggieastrosfan Posted May 18, 2004 #4 Share Posted May 18, 2004 Yes, the water's low right now, but we only had to get up and walk in two places (this was two weeks ago). The rest of the low water just makes for a "mini-rapids" ride. The water, however, is definitely cold right now. I get cold easily, so keep that in mind, but my teeth were chattering and I was shivering the whole time. I'm still glad I did it, though. Others who wore t-shirts instead of shorts and a bathing suit top (as I did) weren't as cold as I was. Ecstasy awaits...12/4/04 Holiday 12/00 - Baja Elation 05/02 - Mexican Riviera Elation 05/04 - W. airdale Posted May 18, 2004 #5 Share Posted May 18, 2004 Pompey, you read my review so you know what we did. Another couple went on the shark and stingray alley tour and said it was a lot of fun. We will probably pick this one the next time ourselves. Elation - April 2004
