gunbae drinking games

Hi all, my wife and I enjoy korean food and hope to go to gunbae when we cruise next year.

The only thing is we dont drink alcohol so will we be able to eat there if we dont join in with the drinking games.

All the reviews i have read emphasise this as an important part of the dining experience at gunbae.

They certainly can't force you to drink alcohol, so I would guess that you can still play the games with whatever beverage you happen to be drinking.

Not only do I not drink alcohol- I won the games outright haha!

You can skip the alcohol/drink water if you prefer

The server will ask if anyone doesn’t drink alcohol and just not pour a shot for them. You can still play the game, just you don’t drink when you go wrong.

The first shot is free, you pay after that.  Or you can drink water.  You take a drink when you mess up in the game, and that makes you "out."  So in reality, there is only one drink in each round of the game.

It's a fun icebreaker but it's not really an integral part of the experience if you don't care for that sort of thing. But yes, no problem to just have water.
