We usually get off early, often with self-assist. I'm wondering if waiting until the very last moment would be better. We drive to the port, and have no real reason to get on the road early. If you don't need to be on the road early, I'd just have a leisurely breakfast and then find a deck chair or some quiet place to read/relax and wait for the final call. Our appointment time was 12. We got in line (in crowd) around 11:45. I didn't see anything anyone could do to move things along.
