Breakaway Departure Time

We are booked on an August sailing out of New York City. On the summary page of our booking it says the ship departs at 11:59 PM. I’ve never been on a cruise that’s left that late what time should we expect our check-in to be I’m just trying to make travel arrangements. I did try to contact Ncl but I’ve not been able to get through.

Check in should be the usually time. If this is the Canada cruise that goes to Newport then the sailing distance is short from NYC which is why the ship leaves late
