samlomax Posted June 6, 2022 #1 Share Posted June 6, 2022 Hi there, recently been on Ventura and got given a casino offer by the host saying that if I book another P&O cruise by a certain date I will get some free play money to spend in the casino. Has anyone got experience with booking this offer? I called the number on the certificate and the P&O rep said they have nothing to do with the casino and they cant book their offer, then he gave me a web address for the carnival USA players club and hung up on me, why would the letter say to call P&O to book if they cant do it? Any help would be appreciated. Sami.
JOHNLS Posted June 6, 2022 #2 Share Posted June 6, 2022 Hello Sami If you have been handed the same type of letter as I have, as long as you have a cruise already booked that sails before the stated date in the letter, you don't have to do anything other than present the letter at the casino cashier's desk when on board. If you haven't, but are trying to make a booking, again, you don't have to do anything extra until you are on board. The 0345 number on the letter merely puts you through to P & O customer services, so you must have been unlucky with the rep you connected with who should have explained this. If your circumstances are different from my suppositions, let me know and I'll try to offer further assistance John

9is Posted March 12, 2023 #6 Share Posted March 12, 2023 Just to jump in on this. I was given one of the letters on Britannia august 2022. I already had a short cruise (4nt on Ventura) booked for October 2022. I took the letter to the casino and they gave me the credit without any question. Hope this helps.

Actually it’s a waste of **** time if you are disabled as to get a cabin you have to book of day one of the booking period. Not within a few weeks of getting a letter from the casino, of which I have had a few.

Even if you spend £1000 and end up with £2000 at the end of the cruise you still can get a voucher. I won on the last cruise and still got the £350 voucher. With average luck and a little experience I can use it to make a fair amount to help the cost of the holiday.

So it's £350 to spend on chips for the casino? Are there any restrictions or rules on what you can do with it? And how long did you have to play each day and how long were you on the cruise for to be entitled to that letter and £350 credit? Sorry for all the questions
JOHNLS Posted March 13, 2023 #21 Share Posted March 13, 2023 Yes, the casino manager has no interest as to where the cruise was booked.
JOHNLS Posted March 13, 2023 #22 Share Posted March 13, 2023 I can't answer the restrictions/rules part of the query as unfortunately I was unable to utilise my letter. I had to rearrange my next already booked cruise to a date beyond the expiration date on the letter. I did phone customer services and they agreed to extend the date on the letter, and provided an email to support that decision which I printed off and attached to the letter. Due to medical problems for which I could not secure insurance cover, I had to change the cruise arrangements again, and decided to let the letter lapse. I don't know the criteria for the issue of the letter, but Mrs J spent every evening in the casino but didn't lose more than £50/£100 a day, and some days ended ahead, the winnings being re-invested the following day!!!

Sorry for all the questions The chips are for £5 each and cannot be cashed as they are. You can only use them on the table. By using a certain configuration the £350 (70 chips) I would have can be used to get £275 'winnings' which than then be cashed . Though it is a loss of £75 on the voucher it does put some £275 cash in your pocket. It could obviously be a lot more if you just gambled and with luck could be turned into thousands (one chip on a winning number would be £175). but you are certain to get back at least the £275 doing it my way. As to playing each day we were in the casino a good hour per day spending anything between £25 and £100 and were lucky in that we came out just iin front over the fortnight.
