Royal Caribbean’s FCC Policy Change

It looks like RCL has decided to become more guest friendly and removed the 12/31/2022 termination date for guest FCC. With any luck Oceania and NCL will not be far behind. In the best interest of their Customers, this is a GREAT move because as there are more sailing hiccups, reduced ship capacities, lack of on board staff impacting the quality of cruises, supply chain issues and general Covid frustration with the various governments and cruise lines, RCL is making a very positive decision for their guests.
NCL has tried to hold firm to this policy limitation to help right their balance sheet but it certainly is not in keeping with their stated commitment to their guests and even their Travel Agents. Let’s hope the competitive pressures from RCL pushes NCL to do “the right thing”.

Different opinion here. I expect that NCLH (and O specifically) will not budge on “book by/cruise by” deadlines (except, in O’s situation, their traditional case-by-case consideration will continue).
