Prepayment of Onboard charges

Is it possible to prepay onboard charges? Like to use my airline-points credit card and have the amount cleared through my bank beforehand in case I have any problems getting into the bank-website during the trip. Having booked excursions and other items I do have a pretty good idea what to expect.

It says you can in the booking confirmation letter sent when you pay your deposit

and having just read through the "useful Information" it does not mention service charges except to tell you how much they are 🙂 

 

Having seen people have problems with what is paid for shoreside and what is expected onboard I would not pre pay .... there is a disconnect between what gets passed on to the ship.  I have seen too many people arguing about what they expected to be already paid for before they sailed.  And you have to pay them again if the ship does not have a record of payment and argue it out when you get home with head office.
