Live from NCL Joy 6/12

I’m back on the Joy!!  Had a blast on her in February and missed our Escape cruise in. April.  Got a deal from Bally’s for an inside and used the FCC to upgrade and here I am.  I’m not in the Haven this time but trying that Haven lite life.   I’m with my 19 year old so we nabbed vibe passes and I upgraded the beverages since I only had to pay for myself!  
I posted a detailed embarkation day on my blog at Alpacamybagsblog dot com.  There were some glitchy things at port.  Seemed lots of confusion about priority embarkation for platinum and higher and casinos at sea.  
Dinner was lovely at Le Bistro.  I finally found a great dessert on the new menu!! Waiting for trivia right now but not going into Norfolk today so I’ll check in later!

Following along......we were on the same February sailing and are set to go again in September.   

 

Did Vibe sell out?   Disappointed there is still confusion about priority embarkation at the terminal.

I’m not sure but the man in front said they only sell 60 passes.  I’ll ask though to verify.  The Chocolate Cowboy is bartending there.

Thank you.   I heard they went back to selling the passes at Guest Services.  Is that correct?

We sail in two weeks! I will be following along!!!  I have been trying to find the answer about the splash academy but haven't been able to find a direct answer- just that it is open and very limited.  Any chance you would have that info?? I have a 5 and 3 year old.  Interested to see if there is any drop off times and when it is available.  Thanks so much!

I'd be very interested about the events each night... the Theater shows, comedy shows, and glow/70s/80s/90s parties. I'm sailing next week and it's a lot easier to plan ahead knowing that, to avoid an evening excursion conflicting with a show you want to see, for example. I know the schedule can change week to week but I assume it stays fairly consistent outside of extenuating circumstances. TIA for anything you post!

Great photo.  I'll be doing this soon and was wondering about such views.  Do you have photos of the Manhattan skyline?

Hello - a question for you if you happen to stumble upon it.  Does the kids club seem to be open, and if so, is there any stipulation on ages?

We had a nice “sea day” in Norfolk.  Lots of people stayed on board.  Vibe was crowded and shade was at a premium.  We couldn’t stay too long. 
Finally tried Teppanyaki and really liked it.  
Also learned my favorite beer is available on premium plus.

Today was a real sea day. Vibe was even more crowded today.  Could not fit into the hot tubs as they were so packed with people not leaving.  We ventured to Spice and that was packed as well.  
We had Food Republic tonight and used one credit only which was plenty for us. 
Waiting for adult comedy later tonight.

Yep.  That's a smart play.  Last cruise the three of us only used one credit at Food Republic once or twice.  Four items split three ways can be plenty for a light lunch or snack.

The 9 am NCL Ferry to St George seems popular.  It is so close and nice to have that option included as I remember buying ferry tickets previous years.

We also have a view of the inflatables which might make for good entertainment later!!

We're sailing Joy to Bermuda in 11 days and it's nice to see the schedule of shows ahead of time.
