debandbill Posted July 1, 2022 #51 Share Posted July 1, 2022 No upfront for me....$0 bill. It did take the pharmacy a ton of time to get the approval...I finally parked and waited inside but then had to rejoin the drive thru to take the test. BLiles1961 Posted July 1, 2022 #52 Share Posted July 1, 2022 How far out are the expiration dates for the emed tests? We have cruises booked for September and November and want to be certain that we're not ordering any proctored tests too far out to do us any good. Made our appts as soon as we could (Tuesday) for Friday tests....no mention of a cost. Then yesterday, I saw people posting that they were charging. Checked the website that now shows a blue bubble saying costs will apply. Verified with the pharmacy that even tests schedule previous to the change will be charged. I kept my appointment since I have Medicare and I was able to get it at no cost this morning. The kids had to scramble to find proctored tests today. For a large corporation - this was a very poor way to handle things. People are already stressed about testing before any event and this adds to pain. Yes, they recently made the change. Probably because CVS is now charging also. Customer service isn’t what it used to be. We were able to get our Antigen tests for $59 at the place we went to. I Googled the nearest COVID testing facility and a list of them came up and Any Lab Test was the most reasonably priced. Hope everyone has luck getting their tests in time. We are all paying for these tests one way or another. The health insurance companies are no longer paying for free tests anymore. Some still are, but it has to be if you are experiencing symptoms and are sick. So, testing has become a money making opportunity.
