Comparison of Celebrity Vs MSC

We wanted to try the MSC product and since February 2020 we had MSC booked five times in the YC bit Covid always got in the way. At that time the prices for the YC was incredible but they have since out priced themselves.

We tried the Haven in 2019 on the Bliss and I have a feeling that MSC will mirror our NCL experience. Big ships, high passenger count. Once you leave the Haven, it was an entirely different experience. No desire to cruise NCL anytime soon.

The issue that I had with MSC was their shoreside customer service or lack of service. The CS reps that I spoke with were usually short, rude and totally clueless. Communication was seriously lacking. We haven’t looked at MSC in a while. I wonder if their new luxury division Explora will start to pull some of their YC guests away and prices will come down?

This. People talk about bad CS on other lines, but you haven't experienced bad until you've experienced MSC.

Would be nice, but I'm not holding my breath.

$13.3k for a Deluxe for seven nights? No way. You had to be looking at the 14 night itinerary.

In my mind my number would be about $4k all in for two for 7 nights in YC. Which is probably an unrealistic number at this point. If you think "the IT" and the customer service is bad on Celebrity, just try MSC. It's laughable it's so poor. And that's ignoring the fact that the ships are decorated with finishes that look like were pulled from a 70's Vegas casino.

$4k for two all inclusive in YC on MSC for 7 nights? Inside cabins or balcony? Please, please could you private message me details of your travel agent as that price point sounds brilliant!

Seashore Jan 29th sailing is $4100 for 2 in YC Deluxe\

Seascape Jan 8th sailing, $6800 for 2 in YC Deluxe

See my post above...no TA involved, just went to the website. Booking as a Voyager Club member will get you a 5% discount and a good TA will get you some nice OBC.

If you're willing to take inside in YC then it will be significantly cheaper...
