mafig Posted June 30, 2022 #1 Share Posted June 30, 2022 Seashore, Deck 19 on Yacht Club, is the farther back the better to avoid the noise from the pool deck above? We don't really have much choice as far as deck. Probably want to decide in next few days.
Paphillyguy Posted June 30, 2022 #2 Share Posted June 30, 2022 I know that they do store chairs toward the back of deck 20 for the pool/sun deck and you might hear some moving around. I have not stayed in that area but I did notice where they stored some loungers
gooding12 Posted June 30, 2022 #3 Share Posted June 30, 2022 We were in 19026 at the end of May and there was definitely a lot of chair moving noise around 6:45 - 7 every morning. It didn't really last that long but I'm a light sleeper and it was generally hard to fall back asleep (even though the curtain does an amazing job of blocking out the light).
frank808 Posted June 30, 2022 #4 Share Posted June 30, 2022 Son and grandma in 19036 and they have not mentioned any noise for the past 12 nights. Maybe starboard side is better because the loungers stay out vs front where they are stacked in evening.
mafig Posted June 30, 2022 Author #5 Share Posted June 30, 2022 Thanks, Frank. How's Grandma enjoying her cruise(s). ???
clemsonlori98 Posted June 30, 2022 #6 Share Posted June 30, 2022 My family was in 19012 back in April. We heard ALL kind of noise from above! I loved the Grand Deluxe suite but I would not want to stay on 19 again.
SirWolf Posted June 30, 2022 #7 Share Posted June 30, 2022 We were in stateroom 19012 (starboard) on Seashore in December 2021. Staff moved loungers every night between 12:00-12:30am and in the morning between 6:00-6:30am. No noise from pool though. We will not book deck 19 on Seaside Evo Class ships again. She mentioned that her room was a lot smaller than the CLS. But overall family and I am very happy with MSC YC. Robert Balla sure has the YC staff in shape. Saw him rolling up his sleeve at deck 20 breakfast when staff was overwhelmed. Enjoy your time on Seashore. Staff is great and we enjoyed this cruise more than Seaside. After our cruises in Dept and Oct on Royal, we are thinking of cruising MSC more. Bang for the buck YC can't be beat.
