prices at specialty restaurants

I'm going on the Radiance of the Seas and wonder if anyone knows the price of dinner at  Chops & Giovanni's?

 

Not sure if its worth it to buy the 5 specialty dinners.

We are on Radiance Feb 23, 2023 and also questioning the 5 day pkg. 

 

Giovanni's is $35 dinner, 17 lunch on sea days

Chops 41 dinner, 26 lunch

Samba 30 dinner, no lunch

 

We don't want to do UDP since we do not want that every day.  We also don't want to do more than an eve or two in MDR. We do enjoy WJ.   Did sign up for MTD, but have been reading about the mess it now seems to be since there are no longer early selections under MTD.

 

Because I have medical issues I have to eat early. And we do want to miss shows due to late or long line at MTD. 

Just today we decided on our game plan. We will eat and pay for a 2:00 lunch for two sea days. This will be our main meal on those days with something light at WJ at 6:00. On 3 other days we will pay for and pay for early dinners at Giovani's and Sambas. That takes care of 5 dayset t at a total of $268. That leaves 5 days for WJ and or MDR. Interspersed is cafe-Latitudes, the Hot Dog joint, Solarium Bistro. This accomplishes various venues,early dinning, and a $268 tab instead of $500. We don't particularly like Chops and we will also get to see shows after early dinners. We have made 7 PM MTD reservations and will cancel as needed. There are also snacks and comp drinks available in the Suite Lounge for Suite Pax. 

If RCL comes out with a 3 day dinning package or a cheaper 5 day on sale package we will alter the above. But for now th

We also wish for a 3 package or a greatly reduced Ultimate Dining Package.  But we have never seen the UDP on sale for less than $25 per day per person.  Since we do not want to eat at a specialty every day nor eat late and are fine skipping Chops, we are going to pay separately for a couple of Giovanni lunches and a couple Giovannis and a Samba dinner. Our cost then would be $268 for 5 days and we can do Windjammer and MDR for the other 5 days. We are on the 10 day Feb 27 sailing.

We are on the same cruise. We r going to do Chops + 1. We’ll see how our days go and may do some lunches.
