Noise of the wake and engines at side aft of ship

I sailed the Divina last November and had an aft facing cabin on deck 9.  I loved the views but the noise of the wake bothered me (also the depth of the balcony, but that’s a different story).

I booked a Grand Suite on the Europa which is on the very back, facing to the side with a wrap around balcony also facing aft. My concern is the sound of the wake.  Will it be as loud as an aft facing balcony or am so far enough away from the wake that it won’t be as loud?  The Europa has a bit of a promenade deck below the aft facing part of the balcony, so am not sure if that helps any?

will the side facing balcony be quieter?

MSC Divina (in service since May 2012) is a different design compared to MSC World Europe. The decks with cabins are set back from the aft edge of the ship. The higher the deck of your Grand Suite is the less noise from public areas and waves from below.

I am boarding MSC Seashore today, staying in aft Suite.. will update tomorrow..
