Beaches near Puerto Plata

Any experiences with good beaches near Puerto Plata? Or snorkeling? This will be our firs time in the DR, so any excursion advice is welcomed. Thanks!

It will be our first time there as well next month so I wouldn't be able to answer your question.   

 

No one else will be able to answer your question either unless you provide more information because there's 2 ports, Amber Cove and Taino Bay, that are about 7 miles from each other.

 

If you are arriving on a Carnival brand (e.g. Carnival, HAL, Princess) you'll be at Amber Cove, others you'll be at Taino Bay.
