Oakland hotel near airport

Looking for a hotel for one night after cruise flying out of Oakland any restaurants near by all suggestions will be helpful thanks.

I would suggest looking for hotels in Emeryville around the Amtrak Station, 'bout 15 minute drive north of OAK. Usual chains: Holiday Inn, Hilton, Marriott. Check to see if they still have courtesy shuttles to OAK.

 

IMO the immediate area around OAK is industrial, so not much to do or eat at. 

 

In Emeryville, there's the Public Market, an indoor-night-market food court. Before eating wander between the vendor stalls to see what's cooking.  Nearby is a Black Bear Diner and Denny's.

There is a nice Marriott Coutryard by the airport and right across the street is a Black Bear Diner.

We have stayed at Holiday Inn & Suites Oakland Airport. They have a Sports Bar and Grill at the hotel. The hotel is at the entrance to the Airport and has a free shuttle.
