C&A upgrade - don't know why

Recommended Posts

My family traveled on the Allure this past week. As we were in the terminal waiting to board I noticed my wife's C&A profile had upgraded from Gold to Platinum.  We have the same number of points, and I showed as Gold (as expected - we have about 15 points prior to sailing).  When we got into our stateroom, she had welcome letters advising her of discounts for Platinum status, whereas I had one for Gold.

I cannot for the life of my figure out why this happened and am curious if anyone knows why.

It's tough to accurately keep track of millions of C&A accounts - don't try to figure out the "why" of RCI IT issues.

The same thing happened to my husband but eventually they caught on. LOL. He had 4 more points than the rest of the family for years. He hit Platinum before the rest of us. Then after we sailed on Harmony in May his point total only went up 3, so now we're equal. I have no idea where those points came from or how they finally figured it out.
