micbooth Posted February 28, 2006 #1 Share Posted February 28, 2006 We are sailing in May to Costa Maya on the Miracle. Niece is wanting to clear water kayak through Carnival there. Is anyone aware of a private excursion we can book? I know we can save some money and the crowds won't be as bad. Thanks for any info. micbooth Posted February 28, 2006 Author #2 Share Posted February 28, 2006 I have researched more and it is kayaking in a clear kayak. I think cruise lines have them for excursions but have looked and can't find a private company that does it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks again. rwilymz Posted April 6, 2006 #3 Share Posted April 6, 2006 I'm trying to find clearbottom kayaking cheaper than the $89 Carnival contract price. If I find it, i'll post info. We're also going on the miracle in may. on the 7th. -rw

Bob7 Posted April 8, 2006 #5 Share Posted April 8, 2006 When we were there last month we asked the tour operators on the dock if anyone could give us a clear kayak tour, and they said no, their contract with the cruise ships forbid them offering it privately. But we read some reviews that said it wasn't great, all they saw was sand and seaweed. But I think it boils down to following the guide's kayak if you want to see the good stuff, if you wander around you miss going over the good places.
