dining package question

We're going on a cruise with our kids.  There are 3 people in their cabin.  The first 2 get the 2 meal Free at Sea perk.  They can upgrade their dining package to get an additional 2 meals at a discounted price.  If they do that can they use those meals for the third person?

 

Just trying to figure out the easiest way to cover the specialty dinners.  Thanks for ant help!

SDP meals are non-transferable. You can not use them for passenger 3. Just buy passenger 3 a 2 meal package. The upgrade only saves a little over the 2 meal package. 
 

And the upgrade is only useful if you want to add exactly 2 more meals. If you want more, it is cheaper to pay retail price for a supplemental package.

Or the kids could order al a carte (not at Tepanyaki or Moderno - which have per person prices)
