Boarding in Los Angeles

Some piers are great, others not so much.  How is the boarding process in Los Angeles, specifically for Haven.  We sailed from the new Miami terminal this Spring and thought that was pretty good, well organized.  New York was not nearly as nice.

Unless times have changed from our last 2 cruises from San Pedro, you will be surprised  that you go through a tented area for luggage and security before you enter a real building, from then on you are inside.  Once entering the inside building there were representatives for Haven Guests.  We were escorted very promptly to check in and then onto the Haven waiting area, only a few minutes before Concierge had Butlers escort us onboard.  Most current cruise was January this year from San Pedro

Copying and pasting a comment and my response from another post ...:

"We were in the line outside the tent for a few hours just to get into the tent area (think there was some pre-screening here) and then once we were far enough in we could see the "Haven/Priority" line at the far left.  We kept asking employee's where we needed to go and no one had a clue."

We sailed out of there in March and it was exactly like this.  Hours in the tent, in the heat .... nothing special for being a Haven guest until you get through all that and inside.  Then they are there holding Haven placards and you get moved to a special counter/front of the line and then over to the Haven lounge while they get a group together to take you on board.
