This will be our first cruise to Bermuda and would like to visit Horseshoe Bay. We would like to go early if possible. Are there taxis available at the pier for transport to the beach and the cost if known. Also, can you grab a cab at any time to return to the ship? Thanks for any help!

There will be taxis and just do a Google search for Port of Bermuda Taxi Service, there’s a plethora of information with estimated rates included

There will be taxis at the pier. The show up between 7:30 and 8 and are plentiful throughout the day. Cost will run about $32 for 1-4 passengers. You can grab a taxi at any time to return. There are also shared minibus shuttles that charge $7 per person. Those hold 14 to 30. I prefer the taxis but the shared shuttles are an option. They start being available between 8 and 8:30.

If you take the ferry to St. George, will there be taxis at that pier that can do a taxi tour of St. George?

You don't need a taxi tour of only St. George. It is so small. A walking tour is best. If you mean the the east end which includes St.George I would start in Hamilton. The easiest place though to find drivers who will do taxi tours is the Dockyard. You might have to call the taxi company for one starting in St. George or Hamilton. We used to have a list of drivers with whom a pre arrangement could be made but it seems that those drivers have retired or whatever.

Thank you Charles - I knew you would know the answer!
