Guarantee Balcony?

We are joining Azamara Journey around Italy on 6 August. Just wondering when Azamara typically allocate stateroom numbers to customers with a Guarantee? Is it at embarkation?

We’ve always had ours allocated some time before, but I don’t think that’s always the case. I think it can go either way.

Ours was allocated at embarkation and we received an upgrade.

We've got the cabin assigned some 4 days prior to the departure; it turned out to be an upgrade. So I'd say not having your cabin assigned till the last minute may be a good sign)

It really depends on the occupation level of the cruise. Our Baltic cruise 3 weeks ago was only 50% booked and got our assignment about two weeks beforehand.

If you don’t like the cabin assigned and there are other cabins open in the category can you request a different cabin?

Well done you! I’ve never had an upgrade, either as the result of a bid or a guarantee. So I’d say always be certain that you’d be happy with any possible result, and you’ll be good.
