Skagway - Klondike Highway Customs/Checkpoints

I know that there will be a customs checkpoint when crossing between Alaska and British Columbia, but is there also a checkpoint when crossing between British Columbia and Yukon?

No - freedom of movement within Canada is a huge deal (the pandemic did result in some border enforcement rules, and there's some sporadic enforcement of restrictions on bulk-buying booze in lower-tax provinces now and again - but even in those cases it's the police being empowered to pull people over rather than CBSA or any kind of 'check point charlie' walls, gates, barbed wire etc.)

 

Basically, border checkpoints between provinces & territories up here is just as bizarre a concept as having border checkpoints between States in the USA. Even when we did have Covid travel rules tightly enforced, lockdowns in various places, the entire Maritime provinces restricting entry to anyone from outside them etc. etc. you could still drive from BC into Yukon without actually seeing any kind of real enforcement of travel restrictions - one of the scandals during the pandemic was actually a couple of rich weasels who flew up to the Yukon to get their vaccines earlier than they were available here in BC... but what they actually got fined for wasn't their travel, but failing to quarantine for 14 days on arrival per the Yukon rules at the time!

 

So don't worry - if you meet the rules for getting into the country at all, you'll have no problems on a bus or car trip across the BC-Yukon border!
