Image for obstructed terrace?

Hi , we just got assigned a room (finally!) and it is limited view terrace on deck 8. I have an upgrade bid in, but was hoping someone might be able to give me an idea of what the limited view terrace looks like in case? Thanks!

Same one! I'm looking forward to it, although am now concerned about the terrace. Either way should be fun though

I was on in June in an obstructed view room (8042Z) - I should have taken a picture of it, but yea that's basically what it looks like. You get the same natural light, can open it for a breeze or a place to catch fresh air, and the hammock but yea that boat is always there. We liked the thought of saving money (that we spent on champagne), so I would probably do it again.

Thanks scaught! I think as long as the breeze is still there it will be fine, I just didn't think the whole thing through I guess. Mostly just looking forward to travelling sans kids...

You'll definitely get sans kids cruise even if the balcony view isn't up to par 🙂 . I don't think obstructed view bookings get an option to bid on a room upgrade (I didn't, anyway), but I was told people were asking about/receiving upgrades when checking in. This was for my June cruise which had like 700 people on board, so YMMV. May be worth asking about....

The current sailing has about 1200 Sailors on board, so less than 50% full.  I've read very mixed reports of people asking and getting or not getting upgrades.  Good luck!
