stoneharborlady Posted March 1, 2006 #1 Share Posted March 1, 2006 I posted a question at the end of a thread about Labadee yesterday, but did not get an answer, so forgive me if I post it anew. The discussion included some talk of jellyfish, and (YUK) sea snakes!! I have only been on one cruise, and the water was so clear and beautiful, and I never saw a thing but an occasional rock. I know these critters are in their own enviornment, and we are the trespassers there, but has anyone seen a sea snake (really) in the waters off these beaches? gkrebs Posted March 1, 2006 #2 Share Posted March 1, 2006 I didn't when I was there, but then again I wasn''t snorkeling or looking for one
crusinmama06 Posted March 1, 2006 #3 Share Posted March 1, 2006 I've never been in the water and seen a shark, but I KNOW they are out there. ;) Just don't think about it. You would go crazy if you thought about all of the sea life living in the ocean besides for jellies and snakes. :D
CRUSINGFAMILY Posted March 1, 2006 #4 Share Posted March 1, 2006 We have been to Labadee many times and even snorkeled there. Snorkeling is terrible there....there is next to no sea life there. I can tell you though having said that I did see a jellyfish once and know of one person stung by one....never saw a sea snake though

Gina S Posted March 1, 2006 #6 Share Posted March 1, 2006 I have been to Labadee twice. I never saw any jellyfish or sea snakes.
HB Cruiser Posted March 1, 2006 #7 Share Posted March 1, 2006 We have been there twice and only saw jelly fish once. It really depends on the time of the year and also the tide conditions. Tim & Crystal
