NYC cruise: picking arrival time for online check in

For those of you wit( experience with NYC departures.  What checkin in time would you select to avoid the biggest crowds?

We try for the earliest we can get ,it’s great to be on board by 11ish with a drink in hand .as the morning ticks on the checking in process gets bogged down , especially for Bermuda with the added steps and sometimes people are missing one part of the process. So then is slows further .

Does anyone know if embarkation in the Manhattan cruise terminal in nyc pier 88 recognizing tier?  Is there a separate line for platinum members or just 1 line for everyone except priority, haven and special needs?

I haven't sailed from NYC since March.  Let time there was only one line for security then tier lines, such as platinum and casino afterwards to check in.  There also was a platinum area designated in the waiting area.

The latest time before they close check in (2 hours before departure). By then, most people have finished lunch and their first dozen drinks onboard. 
 

We have the philosophy that we paid for a cruise that starts at 11:30 am. And we want to get onboard (even though there are crowds) to get the party started.
