Okay I give . With all the new rules on testing 2 days before Embark whats the deal with Puerto Rico's ports  ? NCL says follow the rules of each country .

Puerto Rico kind of falls into a grey area being a commonwealth and all . Do any of you kind folk know of a confirmed status on the need to pre-test or not ?

P.S.  NCL reps cant seem to agree . Some say yay some say nay .

Thanks allyall

Puerto Rico is part of the US so absent specific written instructions to the contrary from NCL one has to assume that a test is required as it is when cruising from every other US port.

But thats just it , they often do make their own port rules . I just cant get it confirmed .

Im getting mixed answers from the Notorious NCL helpp line , and sinker.

There's no need for NCL to make a decision at this moment because the next NCL cruise from Puerto Rico doesn't sail until until late December, over 4 1/2 months from now. You're worrying about rules that are probably going to change multiple times between now and then.

All you can say today is that according to NCL's rules all cruises embarking in the US require a COVID test and Puerto Rico definitely is part of the US so one has to assume a test is required.

By the way, earlier in the pandemic Puerto Rico had rules that were stricter than in much of the US so it's not out of the question that even if NCL said "no", Puerto Rico might say "yes".

AhhhHHhaa ( thanks for the link deeptroat) .  It appears No testing on Embark , only testing pax that are staying after Debark ,  right ? . How odd ..

For those that are curious ...   https://www.ncl.com/travel-requirements-by-country

thank you

That appears to be outdated and doesn't conform to Puerto Rico's current protocols, which were revised in March and no longer have any of the disembarkation testing guidelines mentioned. https://www.discoverpuertorico.com/info/travel-guidelines .

Remember that NCL hasn't sailed from Puerto Rico in months and won't be for many more months so they probably haven't bothered to keep their guidelines current.

Even if the months-outdated NCL page were correct it doesn't say that you don't need need a test to embark. At the time that information was last updated, which was likely in January, all NCL cruises from every port to every location required testing.

Out dated ? It says July 14- 2022 at the top of the page .

The section on Puerto Rico is outdated. The July 14 date is the last time something was changed on the page. It doesn't mean that everything on the page was changed on that date and the Puerto Rico information hasn't changed since NCL last cruised from there in the winter.
