Want to know the most fun thing about magnetic door decorations???  Rearranging them in the middle of the night to annoy the occupants of said decorated cabin - move them to bottom, sides, turn them upside down, etc

I'm not the best at remembering numbers so I put a little something (usually just a magnet) on my door as a visual clue for the first day or two.  Some people do this for their kids too since long hallways of identical doors can be confusing for them.  Hard to imagine what kind of "safety hazard" my little magnet would be and nobody has ever objected or tampered with it.

Me, I'd just stick a car magnet for my favorite university on the door, so I can tell which one is mine.  Of course, that might cause other issues from those who aren't fond of said school.

That is what we did.  I bought a university magnet for each of the people in our party, a few state flags and international flags of our respective country of origin, and posted on our doors.

Each magnet was pretty small, about A6 (i.e., 4"x6") or smaller.

And yes, it was much easier to tell which cabins are ours.  Especially after coming back from bar hopping.

I put them high up so no little kids could mess with them, and placed them there carefully, centered, so it looked like that they were there officially.  Nobody messed with them.
