rsmith55 Posted March 2, 2006 #1 Share Posted March 2, 2006 I have never been to Bermuda but have been considering going. I like to snorkel so would want to go when the water is warm. When does the water get warm enough (say80 degF) for swimmng and when in the fall does it cool down? Also, I am worried about cruising there in the summer because of Hurricanes. Any thoughts on that? SailBadtheSinner Posted March 2, 2006 #2 Share Posted March 2, 2006 According to the table here: http://www.weather.bm/data/climatology.html the sea temps will be in the lo 80's July, August and September. Of course that puts you right into hurricane season with September being peak (I think). My advice: buy some good trip insurance. Of course I feel that sea temps in the 70's are for swimmin also. cruiserssandr Posted March 2, 2006 #3 Share Posted March 2, 2006 We have been to Bermuda many times in both May and October and found the water fine for swimming. Maybe it is because we are used to the water on Cape Cod.
