tectop Posted August 17, 2022 #1 Share Posted August 17, 2022 Title says it all. Looking at booking a Carnival cruise out of Charleston and looking for a nice & close place to stay near Port. Thanks in advance, Tec.

navybankerteacher Posted August 18, 2022 #4 Share Posted August 18, 2022 The Indigo Inn on Pinkney Street - about three blocks from the cruise terminal is a great place to stay if you want to experience a bit of what Charleston is like.
jsn55 Posted August 18, 2022 #5 Share Posted August 18, 2022 I'd do a search for the port, pull it up on a map, then ask for 'hotels' to appear on the map. Then you can read the reviews and come up with just the right place. If you'll not be walking to the terminal with your luggage, staying too close might be a challenge to finding a taxi. LImom Posted August 19, 2022 #6 Share Posted August 19, 2022 @tectopCheck out the Market Pavilion Hotel. I stayed there and it is a great location near great restaurants, walking distance to historic sites and the pier.
Rare rrraydon Posted August 19, 2022 #7 Share Posted August 19, 2022 I’ve been looking for a park and stay near the port. I’d like to find a hotel that has this amenity in addition to a port shuttle.

Add the shuttle: no way! You might find park and stay at a large place well away from Charleston proper, but shuttle would be very unlikely. Just booked Holiday Inn Charleston on Savannah highway and it included transportation and parking. It was $183.

I guess we must have different opinions of what inexpensive is. It's a 10 day cruise so would be $210 just for parking. That to me is alot of money.
