masterrue24 Posted August 18, 2022 #1 Share Posted August 18, 2022 Hello, I am a solo male on my first Virgin cruise. What should I expect and is anyone else going solo?
Rare cantgetin Posted August 18, 2022 #2 Share Posted August 18, 2022 There are lots of You Tube videos that will show you what to expect, both in general and as a solo. Why not join the roll call for your cruise date (scroll under the boards)
Rare Cloud9 Bob Posted August 19, 2022 #3 Share Posted August 19, 2022 (edited) I did the Dominican Daze as a solo recently. Here's a link to my review. Going solo was fine and Virgin Voyages was excellent...except for a mishap with my luggage. https://boards.cruisecritic.com/topic/2862016-scarlet-lady-review-what-i-loved-or-didnt/#comment-63619286 Edited August 19, 2022 by Cloud9 Bob
Kooper4411 Posted August 19, 2022 #4 Share Posted August 19, 2022 I've been solo on Valiant Lady and have to say the experience was great - there is a really nice relaxed vibe on the ship that made me feel like I could be me, whether that be meeting lots of new people or just enjoying my own company (slightly in contrast to Princess). There's a ton of comfy nooks around the ship you can hang out in, or a fair number of activities from dodgeball to jigsaw puzzle contests if you want to meet people. There's also the 'Happenings' cast who are about 15 people with different personalities whose job it is to run various activities and generally interact with guests. I'm sure that however you want to spend it you'll have an awesome time 😀
