"Birka Princess is" now "Sea Diamond"

:) Well it's official .... The Perla is out and were on the old "Birka Princess" which is now "Sea Diamond" .... for our May.8/06 sailing to the greek islands ... Just got the word from my TA.

Ah, I was wondering which gemstone they'd name her after!

 

Originally, Louis ships were all called 'PRINCESA' something - PRINCESA MARISSA, PRINCESA AMOROSA, PRINCESS CYPRIA, PRINCESS VICTORIA, etc.

 

Then more recently they got onto a gemstone binge - EMERALD, SAPPHIRE, AQUAMARINE, CORAL, PERLA... And now SEA DIAMOND!

 

I have to admit I'm not crazy about the name; I'd prefer just DIAMOND.

 

But anyhow, hopefully she will be better-received by our members than PERLA.

 

Enjoy your cruise - regardless of the ship, the destinations are spectacular and you should have a wonderful time!

Interesting background info on the names :rolleyes: ... Thanks I'm really looking forward to seeing the different islands, although it will be brief, I think it will be a blast! I'll be sure to post a review when I get back.:)
