Can you use USD to to take the $7 shuttle to Horseshoe and for tips? I think I remember the shops in the mall at the port took USD.

No need to change currency. US currency is accepted everywhere in Bermuda but if you're getting change back you may get Bermuda dollars. The two currencies are on par, so no need for any mental gymnastics to figure out what you're paying.

We had to ask to get some Bermuda dollars/change back from our souvenir purchases. We like to collect a little bit of local currency when we visit somewhere new.
