Chops vs. Portafino - RCCL Dining Options

Hi,

Can anyone recommend one of these over the other? They both sound fantastic from what I've read and well worth the $20.

MORE IMPORTANTLY, does anyone know if we can book reservations at one or the other ahead of time (prior to boarding)? If so, how??

Chops was fantastic, and well worth the money. We did not get the chance to try Portafino.

To answer your other question, I tried to make reservations pre-cruise, but it wasn't possible. We went directly to Chops after dropping off our carry-ons in the room, and had our choice of any times for all evenings. I had to call and change the time a few days into our cruise, and it was still not a problem to obtain a reservation.

We only had 2 in our party, and I did notice there were very few larger tables, so it may be more difficult if you are in a group.
