Transportation from San Diego Amtrak to the Cruise Port

I know it's just a half mile walk but this is for my parents and their luggage.  Does the Amtrak Red Cap have a shuttle since it's so close, or will they need to do a taxi?

I would just use a taxi.  I know that there are Red Caps that will help get people to/from the train but I'm pretty sure that they will not take people to the port.  I've seen the golf cart shuttle from the station to the train but that's it.   

 

If they're coming in the night before and staying the night, you might check with the hotel for a shuttle.  We always stay at the Residence Inn right there (and just walk) but I do know people who have taken the shuttle from the hotel to the port.
