Flights By Celebrity Price Alert

In case there are newbies looking on CC for info. on FBC, just wanted to make a post to make sure they check directly with airlines for prices.  I posted this info. in another thread but thought I'd make a new post.  I booked my refundable premium economy tickets through AA in June and frequently check prices on AA and FBC.  FBC is always all over the map on their prices. Some days $100 or $200 less but never more than that and usually a couple of hundred dollars more.    Today the exact same tickets I've purchased are double what I paid and are non-refundable.  For the amount they are charging I could move up to business flexible on AA.  Yes, I couldn't defer my payment as I could have on FBC but the savings more than made up for it.

It s interesting how prices can vary. I have never found direct to airline cheaper for International flights, at least for business class.  In fact, I just booked flights to Amsterdam for next June through Royal Air2Sea for about $2150pp round-trip, business class. On SAS’s site it was over $5Kpp. Even adding back the current $500 promotion, it was still 2 X through the airline.

Pays to check all options, I guess.

Prices vary for everything, including the cruise itself.

Yesterday morning I booked a new cruise and that evening (for the exact same cabin class, cabin right next to the one I booked) the price had gone up 20%.

Am amazed there are so many FBC threads.  FBC is and has been a consolidator that sometimes can offer lower fares.  On international flights other consolidators have often been cheaper, but you pay now.  The timing for payment is the main advantage of FBC.  In today's crazy world of airlines, flight prices and the flights themselves change literally hourly

I don't mind that the prices change.  The scary thing is when there is only 1 flight a day and it may get cancelled.
