TreeCity Posted September 6, 2022 #1 Share Posted September 6, 2022 Any one have to deal with the testing for 10 or more days? If yes how did it go for boarding, was just a picture on your phone good? The test you take can be professionally administered by a health professional, such as a doctor or pharmacist, or you can use a home test kit. Home test kits for these sailings are not required to be administered under live video supervision. You will present the negative test result at the time of boarding. You can show it in the form of a printout, an email, or an app screen from the test provider. Or you can show a picture of your negative home test on your phone, or present the actual negative test itself.
Old Maine guy Posted September 8, 2022 #2 Share Posted September 8, 2022 I also am interested in this question. It seems too easy to just take an unsupervised home test and then take a picture of it or bring the test kit itself for boarding. Has anyone actually done this? Any problems? This really does not make sense to me. It seems like it would be easy to provide a false test.
scottraveller Posted September 8, 2022 #3 Share Posted September 8, 2022 I’ve asked the same question. I’m sailing on Sunday out of Southampton and it quite clearly states home testing is accepted. I’m in a suite and have asked the concierge to clarify, or actually confirm. Was going to get my wife and I a supervised test tomorrow costing £60 but this will save me money. Just don’t want to turn up on Sunday and have a problem. it would be great if someone had experience of going through this
