scottraveller Posted September 8, 2022 #1 Share Posted September 8, 2022 Wife and I are due to sail from Southampton on Sunday and I’ve just received an email from Royal Caribbean where it clearly states that we can do a lateral flow test at home unsupervised. We’ve got a supervised test session booked for Friday afternoon which will cost nearly £60 and I’m now thinking if I don’t need it why spend the money I’ve been keeping a close eye on things but I’ve missed this really important change. Can anyone give me some advice please as up to now it had to be supervised and couldn’t be done at home. Funnily enough we’ve both just done a test today and we’re both negative. Can you help please Thanks
nycfa Posted September 8, 2022 #2 Share Posted September 8, 2022 Personally I’d just CYA and do the supervised test and be done w it. Stuff seems to keep changing and better to have “more” vs “not enough”.

scottraveller Posted September 8, 2022 Author #4 Share Posted September 8, 2022 Thanks. Seems daft spending that £60 when all their faqs etc quite clearly states home tests are ok. It’s whether the staff at Southampton are aware of it though. Makes your point more relevant I guess. Looks like this policy change only came in on Monday. I have got an email from RCI confirming it as well. Think I’ll take all the documents with me a proof. Difficult one
