cruisinginmay Posted September 12, 2022 #1 Share Posted September 12, 2022 We are considering the Gem Transatlantic cruise this December. Does anyone know how warm the courtyard would be at that time? Warm enough to spend time out there reading or just relaxing?
TrumpyNor Posted September 12, 2022 #2 Share Posted September 12, 2022 (edited) If I remember correctly, the Gem Haven Courtyard has some type of "retractable" glass roof, that they close if the weather is not "nice". But I am wondering if you are not actually thinking about the courtyard area but the larger Haven sundeck area....? cruisinginmay Posted September 12, 2022 Author #3 Share Posted September 12, 2022 No, I am thinking about the courtyard. I’m pretty sure the sun deck would be too cold at that time of year. With the roof closed, does it keep the area somewhat warm?

goldmom Posted September 12, 2022 #5 Share Posted September 12, 2022 We've left from NYC on the Gem in winter. With the roof closed, the courtyard area is quite comfortable and the hot tubs are usable. Enjoy!
