Skagway or Ketchikan Bike Tours??

We are thinking about booking a bike tour in either Skagway or Ketchikan, but we don't really want to book it through Princess ... any suggestions?

It 's easy to go independent out of Skagway and consider the Dyea Road, pure endless scenery. BUT have good bikes- several years ago, I rented from Sourdough without a problem. In Ketchikan, you can bike along the road, I would go south for more scenery, but can be loaded with traffic.
