Rare Ken the cruiser Posted September 22, 2022 #1 Share Posted September 22, 2022 We're pondering the thought of putting in an upgrade bid on a Club Balcony cabin. However, when we look at where the cabins are, Deck 11, we're wondering if there is a potential noise factor to consider, especially if our cabin is under the pool area? Not just because the crew might be moving chairs around in the early morning hours, but also from the potential for music being constantly played in the pool area above us. Any thoughts will definitely be appreciated as we have only sailed with NCL once before and that was on the Getaway in the Haven.
gknep Posted September 22, 2022 #2 Share Posted September 22, 2022 I've been in club balcony suites on other ships in same class as the Jade. If you are far enough forward there is no noise because you are under the spa area. If you are under the pool most of the noise is from chair scraping in the morning. If you are further aft you are under the buffet and/or the Great Outdoors area.
pbenjamin Posted September 22, 2022 #3 Share Posted September 22, 2022 On a recent trip on the Jewel (same layout) we had a 4 cabins on deck 11. 3 Club Balconies: 2 aft facing and 1 on Port side (under La Cucina). 1 2br suite under the library. All were fine. Avoid cabins under the pool area and under the fitness center.
Rare Ken the cruiser Posted September 22, 2022 Author #4 Share Posted September 22, 2022 This is definitely good information to know for future cruises. But something tells me with our luck an accepted upgrade bid would probably put us under the pool area. 😂
Reese15233 Posted September 22, 2022 #5 Share Posted September 22, 2022 (edited) We won upgrades for 2 club balconies last November on Jade ended up with 11076 and 11068 one somewhere under buffet seating and the other under the bathrooms by the pool. There were no noise issues and I loved being able to take quick trip up the stairs to the pool and buffet because even on very low occupancy ship the elevators were packed at certain times despite the elevators being posted for 3 max due to the covid restrictions at the time.
