snorkeling with children?

I was wondering where the best place in either Cabo San Lucas or Matzalan that we can take our 9 and 7 year old snorkeling. They have all their own snorkel gear yet haven't really snorkeled in the ocean and are really excited. I'm looking for something mellow and shallow. Any help would be appreciated. We're going at the end of the month so if the time of the year helps. :)

we didnt snorkel in mazatlan but in cabo it is rough....

we went to lovers beach and it knocked me around so bad,, we nicknamed it kick a## beach... i would search the threads for mazatlan beaches and see what people say... we didnt go in the water there.....

some people were saying its good at deer island ? or stone island ? in mazatlan.. hopefully this helps some ..

and if you just want the kids to have a good time on the beach, the main beach has jet skis. banana boats.. for rent .. i didnt see anyone snoreling there. but the water was calm,,, for swimming.
