Fortress of the Bear -- Sitka

Does anyone know how much the taxi fare to Fortress of the Bear (FOB) facility would cost?  Not interested in taking a tour -- done that already.  We just want to go to the FOB facility.  Thanks.

In past years there has been a “hop on hop off” bus to the Fortress of the Bears and the Raptor Center.  It picks up at the Convention Center where the cruise ship shuttle drops you off. and runs a circle route through the day.  Probably cheaper and more versatile than a taxi .  I have no clue what a taxi would cost but it’s been awhile since you posted and you may not get a response.

UPDATE:  I contacted Fortress of the Bear facility and here is the information the person provided to me:

 

 

"Thank you for your interest in visiting Fortress Of the Bear.

There are several ways to visit us without pre booked tours.

Taxis-Their numbers can be found on our website

Shuttles are not free, but run about $10 round trip.

There is a city bus that is $2 each way, but makes stops along the way."
