CruisingLover Posted October 2, 2022 #1 Share Posted October 2, 2022 Hi Question about the "2x2 meal specialty dining pkg" that you get with the booking specials... Does the price for that cover the entire meal, minus drinks? So, basically we pay a cover charge to get in and then, once in, the dinner is no cost? Essentially yes, it covers the meal, but not drinks. At restaurants with a cover charge (flat fee for dinner) (Teppanyaki, Moderno), the dining credit covers the cost of flat fee. Drinks are additional (unless you also have the drinks package whereby your drink cost are covered by that promotion). In a la carte restaurants, the dining credit will cover multiple appetizers, one entrée, multiple side dishes, and multiple desserts. Some waiters will tell you that the credit only covers one app and one dessert, but that is not what the terms and conditions of the promotion says. Drinks are the same. At a la carte restaurants, there may be a few menu items that clearly show an upcharge. If you select that menu item, the upcharge will be added to your bill. Example of a dinner covered by the dining package Example of a menu with an upcharge item - in this case, if you ordered the crab cake appetizer, you would be charged $5+20% tip=$6 to your room account. 1

With regards to the pasta dishes at Onda. Are they considered as an app or an entree. Meaning if I order a pasta dish can I still get the veal chop or filet? Am looking forward to Onda on our upcoming Encore cruise and our three cruises on the Prima.

Bird, I would like to sincerely thank you for your many contributions to this forum. We're back to NCL after the long "covid break" and I can't tell you how helpful you've been, patiently sharing your knowledge again and again. This dining question gets asked in various forms over and over (by me included) and you always take the time to explain. You never get snarky or tell posters to search. Thank you for your kindness. ~Denise

You order what you want from the pasta section then order what you want from the secondi section (only 1 from that section).

Onda Menu Onda.pdf While I agree with Two Wheels regarding ordering a pasta dish, they are really designed to be entrees, so it will be a lot of food. The potion sizes at Onda are generous. Some Onda pics including the Veal Milanese (note that it is a Milanese not a true chop... the meat pounded flat and [over] breaded and deep fried... I missed that fact the first time I ordered it)

The veal Milanese, fingerling potatoes and carrots look amazing.
