Specialty restaurant reservations question

We have booked a dining package prior to getting on board. I understand I need to make reservations once on board, so can anyone tell me do I need to board early (1030 am/ our boarding time) or can I wait until 2 pm (preferred boarding time) and make those reservations?  Do the reservations go quickly?  Looking for a 5:45-7 pm time slot for 3.  Any advice would be appreciated.

In my experience you'll be fine doing it while on board at 2PM, just don't dilly dally with what days and times you want and you'll be fine.
