FCD expiration

Has anyone here been able to use a future cruise deposit on a cruise that embarked after the "Sail By" date for the FCD.  I have two, one expiring about 5-6 weeks before the cruise that I have booked.  I suppose HAL might be motivated to use the earlier one and not refund it, and therefore let me use it on a cruise after the Sail By date.

Future Cruise Deposits are purchased on the ship and are good for 4 years and are refunded to you automatically if not used. Some have mentioned extending them.

Future Cruise Credits give out by HAL do have an expiration date. Many people on CC have been able to have the expiration date extended, including me.

Hope things work out for you.
