Post cruise (San Pedro) things to do before 3pm flight out of LAX

We will walk off and hope to be one of the first off the ship. Does anyone know of tour company or private drivers that offers touring the area for a few hours after our cruise but before our 3pm flight?

 

Also, what should we see or do with our college students during that time?

You could tour the USS Iowa battleship that is nearby, if you are into that type of thing.  I visited it a few times and have enjoyed it. Or maybe Uber to airport to drop off luggage and then Uber to the Strand, Venice or Santa Monica.

I didn't think to drop off luggage at airport then travel around.  Good idea.

Some airlines won't accept luggage for a flight until a few hours before scheduled departure time. You should check with your airline to see what restrictions they may have.
